CSS is popular. Even
I have jumped on the wagon. For those who want your own custom journal (if you're allowed to use css) May I suggest:
Icy Worlds' CSS Test, all you need are picture (if you even want that) and choose a few matching colors

, I use often use it to get started (it saves time in writing codes). There are also many good tutorials around dA including: `
Lilyas's
CSS Tutorial Part I: BASICS,
Basic CSS tutorial by =
DragonX141 and
Journal CSS Part 1 byt *
kuschelirmel-stock, to name a few. All you have to do is
search.
...What? I already gave you some very useful tools on making your own journal, and if you just look there are some very nice layouts available....oh, you want
customized? well...okay,
fine!
If you'd like, I will code a journal for you.
I will take requests for journal
coding. You make the design and I'll see what I can do.
Keep in mind
my conditions:

1) Post your request on
this journal only, I don't want have to deal with notes.

2) I am under
no obligation to fulfill your request (but I probably will). Don't whine if I turn you down.

3) I will work on this
at my leisure, I have a life outside dA and often it will take precedence (namely school). Though I expect it wouldn't take too long to fulfill your request: no whining about me taking a long time but a friendly reminder every couple of weeks is fine.

4) I will do what I can to the best of my ability but if I cannot, I'll point you to someone who hopefully can.
I think that's it...
Now, when submitting your request I will need the following:

1)
A picture of the overall layout. How do you want the journal to look? Be sure to include notes

2)
Any pictures I will need for it. That includes at least a background and if you'd like title pic, section headers, etc. I have some cool fonts and can do some things in photoshop if all I get is a background. Such things is limited by my artistic abilities and knowledge of photoshop (as well as the version)

3)
Link(s) to journals/layouts similar to what you want. I know some css but I need the reference(s) to figure what I don't.
In return
you will get a .zip folder with or link(s) to the following:

1)
A text document with the code. This you will obviously copy to your CSS area.

2)
The pictures needed. Some may have been altered and some added.

3)
A READ ME text file. This will contain notes as needed as well as references (if I used stock or other resources). For instance, this journal requires <*div class="scrollbox"*> <*/div*> around the content and in the footer I've given credit for what I used.
Well, I can't think of anything else. Let's see those requests!
