Remember when everyone had Xanga? I didn't even know I had one until I got an email saying I could lose my profile and username. Nuh-uh, Koneko Decaelum is like my unofficial trademark. No one else can be Koneko D. I changed to a purple theme they had. I'll make a new one later. Maybe.

I really ought to upload a new deviation. For my friends on facebook. I uploaded a video. It's meant for my brother but nothing too personal.

UPDATE 2: Meh, I didn't want to make a new journal. Anyway, After getting caught up on CBS's Moonlight and (I can't beleve I'm admitting this...) Stargate Atlantis (don't shoot me~!) I have been sucked into the vortex and find myself in Hyrule, saving princess Zelda from the twilight... This time I'll finish the game. Already halfway through, this is the 3rd time I've played. First time, my brother saved over my file. Second time I was on vacation at ~rainevictoria's. This time I have all summer to beat it, but I'll probably finish this week.

In other news. We went to Corpus Christi, Texas yesterday. I got sunburned. lol. I wish I could find a pair of AA batteries, then I'd take some pics and post them here. Just to have something.

UPDATE:Ordered a wii, gonna pick it up tomorrow from a store. Still need to get a couple games and sell the old gamecube though...anyone want a gc?/UPDATE

Hey, guys. Sorry I haven't updated in a while. We finally joined all our stuff at the new house. I'll finish that sakura tree ASAP! Well...after I catch up with a new show I'm watching. My brother told me about Surf the Channel. It is an awesome site with all these shows and movies (even anime and documentaries!). Also, we're trying to find a place that actually has a Wii in stock. No such luck, and trading in our game cube doesn't get much off the price....

I'm still checking my devwatch and messages but no new stuff until I'm a little more settled in.

EDIT: The article on similar problem News: File Not Found - From Jul 27 & 28th Maintenance. Since my deviation ("Candesce" in literature) was submitted September 25th, clearly it was not lost due to maintenance in July. I had sent a message to the help desk back then but I got no response. I sent one again today. Maybe this time I'll get some results. /EDIT

I don't know why I remembered but that was never resolved. Some of you even sent messages saying that when you clicked on it (from your devwatch) it didn't show up. Nothing seemed to work either.

Just remembering it makes me mad. I'm gonna send a message to the staff and see what can be done.

Not that you'd doubt that, I posted a deviation a few days ago. For those of you wondering, I am currently working on a journal design and css for =norli. The one she picks will get a free sub (I don't really need it though), artwork (now there's a prize), and featured for a month . So yeah, that's I'm doing there.

I'm also writing Ka'ne-Yuri I'm almost done with the next chapter. I may take a break from writing it after I post. Good news for fellow Narutards, Naruto fandom no longer makes me sick. For the one person who "eagerly awaits" new installments, I think I'll get back to my Naruto fanfiction...this weekend?

Speaking of Naruto. I'd like to remind everyone that the contest over at *NarutoNinjaNation has extended the deadline to the end of this month. I never considered myself a fangirl until now. Thing is, it's not even anime/game/manga related. No its...real people OMG. lol The following will presented as evidence for my status as a nerd/geek.

I've noticed a trend that started last summer, probably a couple months after settling into the fact that we have satellite tv. I started watching TV more. There has a been a list of celebrity crushes, only a couple are under 40 but are very close to that age. This is ironic since I feel about dirty old men the same way I do about spiders, with a passionate fear and loathing. Let's review the list from the beginning shall we?

1) Micheal Shanks. Age: 37. Probably most well known for his role as "Dr. Daniel Jackson" on the ten year long Stargate SG-1 series. His character was smart, sweet, honorable, hot. Yes...well, he's not as big on my list now but I still like the show. If only I didn't have to set the DVR to record it at 2:30 Monday mornings. I started watching this show when I realized there was nothing else good on Sunday mornings (used to come on at 10am, atlantis at 11).

2) Cesar Millan, Dog Whisperer Age: 38?. Where did this come from? Watching the National Geographic Channel of course. You have to admit, that tan, salt and pepper hair, his way with dogs...lol. The attraction was mostly physical. I'm over this one now.

3) Bobby Flay Age: ~45. A food network star, he's had several shows. I really liked "Throwdown" and Iron Chef for a while b/c of him. He's a very good looking chef. His arrogance knocked him off the list after two weeks.

4) Alton Brown Age: ~45. Another food network star, his claim to fame is the ever popular, informative, and entertaining Good Eats. His show is funny, he's an admitted geek, that just makes food sexy. He still holds a warm place on my list

5) Craig Ferguson Age: ~40. Host of the Late Late Show right after David Letterman, he's a fairly recent celebrity crush. Why? Well, he's got that Scottish charm and accent, not to mention how amazingly funny he is. I got into the show right after the new year. It was late I didn't want to play a game or go online so I turned on the TV. I discovered late night talk shows. I look forward to the weekend, when I go home and watch 5 episodes of craig ferguson. It's awesome.

6) David Hewlett. Age: 39-40? Better known as Stargate Atlantis' "Dr. Rodney McKay" I've fallen hard for the character. David is an extremely popular character, even winning an award for best character. McKay is a neurotic genius and despite his ego can be compassionate. When he is, he's a bit awkward and I find that very endearing. I think Amanda Tapping says it best. My friends, he is a case for the rise of the nerd in fandom. There is this...thing related to him (that I have not seen the source, but I have seen the pattern) where David is asked "how are you so awesome?" lmao and he says it's his favorite question. Yes, that is my favorite question too. He's so funny too, even when not in character. I think that's part of the appeal. Clearly he's my current absolute favorite, his entry is longest. lol

Anyway, have you noticed? There seems to a shift toward the smart, socially awkward nerd. Look at the NBC show Chuck, or the Big Bang. The shyness seems to appeal to a woman's nurturing instinct. Who needs to save the bad boy? He's a lost cause anyway. The nerd is much more doable and is likely to be a good choice for the long term right? I dunno. Maybe this is all related to the fact I have recently come to terms with my own status as a geek/nerd. Oh well.

I don't feel like a posting a new journal when it may end up being like 4 lines long.

Anyway, why is everyone so worked up about this new FAIR-what's-it-called? I've been reading the journals and I really don't care to get caught up in it. Part of this may be due to the fact that I don't get featured on the front page, it would be awesome if I was but--meh. If I cared about being prom queen, homecoming queen and all that in high school I would care about this, but I don't. I will tell you what is on my front page:

#2 *ladychimera's gallery, I kid you not. I played like 1 hour of the first kingdom hearts. I hate all the fanart here on dA, but *ladychimera's comics are hilarious. The characters are completely out of character and though I don't like yaoi but I can't help but love her stuff.
#3 *SRSmith's gallery. I read your stuff, sometimes...sorry.
#4 *snowbunnyluv, hell I don't remember why she's there but her art is cute.
#5 ~leiaskywalker83's gallery, very good pencil artist but posts inconsistently
#6 Popular Naruto, I don't even look at it anymore it's so far down my page
#7 Popular Final Fantasy, often works with the only word "final" or "fantasy" make it to this one
#8 Popular, #9 Daily Deviations, #10 Prints, #11 Newest. See? I don't care. I see what I want to see and that's it. No room for popularity. The whole plug thing was unintentional but I don't think they'll mind.

In other news, the Naruto fanfic will be on hiatus until further notice. I just don't feel like writing it and contributing to the hoards of Narutardness on dA right now. School is taking more and more of my time as the semester continues; my other projects are floating to the surface of my conciousness like pretty butterflies oooh.... ; and finally I've been kind of tired lately, I find myself lying in bed for much of day. I'm just not motivated to do stuff. I think I need a retreat where there's no TV, no school no dA, facebook, myspace...or internet for that matter. I want to just clear my head and work on some of my truly original projects, like Ka'ne-Yuri or maybe start on some of the others that never even got the chance.

So that's my life now, I'll keep checking in on my devwatch and the few comments I receive but don't expect any journals or deviations from me for a while. Here's an early "Happy Valentine's Day" *~~* .

So the house we picked out it in the new town is just about finished construction-wise. We're going have the movers take all but the essentials beginning of March. Fun. We'll probably put the house here on the market about then.

Speaking of march...that reminds me, I'm going out of state to visit ~rainevictoria during spring break (late march). That really will be fun. ^^.
