NNN C: Kagaku Koneko by =KonekoD:iconKonekoD:

[X] Name: Kagaku Koneko
[X] Meaning...?
---Kagaku=chemistry; science; poetry, versification; hereditary learning (depends on characters used...).
---Koneko=kitten. Not much to say, I like felines.
[X] Appearance:
---Hair: medium long wavy dark brown, usually in a bun or ponytail. One strand left down, braided with tiny lavendar ribbon. Sometimes down but not often. (aside from the little braid that's me)
---Eyes: Violet (because I like purple.)
---Rather pale, she has begun to tan with all the "house calls" she makes for work (reality: running across campus between classes).
---Clothes: In cooler weather she wears a long-sleeved pale-pink kimono top with a hood. The kimono is tied with a cream colored corset instead of a traditional obi (helps hide and remedy some of the extra inches around the middle). She also wears wide-leg pants and don't forget the heavy duty boots (I wish had a pair...actually the whole outfit).
In warmer weather she wears a black moisture-wicking corset over a white cotton tank top (hey, my fashion has always been...interesting). With that she wears a knee-length red gypsy skirt with cotton shorts underneath (retain her dignity in battle) and sandals.
[X] Hidden Village: Konohagakure of the Fire Country
[X] Age: 21
[X] Birthday: Aug. 8 (leo) 1986 (fire tiger)
[X] Height and Weight: 5'2" (152.5 cm) 115 lbs (52.2 kg)
[X] Chakra
---Nature: Dual of Fire and Water
---Efficiency: 94 A*
[X] Rank: Jounin
[X] Taijutsu: 83.5 B; Breakdown: Attack: 83 B, Defense: 94 A, Evasion: 78 C, Accuracy: 86, Stamina: 70 C, Effectiveness: 90 A.
While her taijutsu is close to average she focuses on doing it correctly to minimize energy expenditure and injury while maximizing power and effectiveness. She doesn't like getting hit (embarrassingly forces tears out), so she's made sure she has good defense. She avoids taijutsu as her confidence in it low.
[X] Ninjutsu: 96 A; Breakdown: Mastery: 94 A, Effectiveness 98 A.
Koneko is very good at and has great confidence in her ninjutsu. She mainly uses it in conjunction with her favored weapons
[X] Genjustu: 77.3 C. Breakdown: Complexity: 63 D, Mastery: 88 B, Effectiveness: 81 B.
Koneko only uses relatively simple illusions as supplements to other abilities.

*Grading
[X] A 90-100  Excellent
[X] B 80-89 Good
[X] C 70-79 Average
[X] D 60-69 Passing
[X] F 59 or below Failing

[X] Fighting style: Having the unusual mix of water and fire for chakra nature, she can use one or both mixed to varying degrees. Koneko relies heavily on her knowledge of alchemy in battle, creating various potions and other concoctions in combination with more traditional jutsu. Her alchemic abilities were acquired under the able tutelage of Hinote Yaibahana*2.
Koneko also uses a bow and arrows, preferring to fight from a distance and unseen if possible. Using her knowledge of alchemy, she has developed arrows that can be infused with chakra for various purposes, including exploding, burning, and invisible, arrows as well as medium to create mobile jutsu. She is studying a way to create arrows of pure chakra for when she runs out of arrows and eventually a bow in case the other breaks.
When forced to fight in close range, she will rely on weaponry (kunai, shuriken, knives, etc) rather than pure hand-to-hand combat. At the closest range she’ll use claws.

[X] Strengths and weaknesses: Highly intelligent, Koneko is above average but not quite a genius, something she will readily tell you. She can best use the intelligence (and abilities) when she remembers to slow down and a take moment to think before acting.
She is a fiercely loyal friend and comrade, willing to help those she cares for without hesitation, and sometimes without thought. On the darker side, she tends to get jealous (of boyfriends at least) causing her to (lately) avoid romantic relationships in fear of it. Shy when you first meet her, she has gotten better over time but people may mistake her shyness as stuck-up or rude behavior.

*2 Hinote-fire/flame/blaze, Yaiba-blade, Hana-edge. AKA my HS chemistry teacher who has a love of swords and even greater love of fire. lol

[X] Noted Abilities:
---Kuchiyose no Jutsu (tiger summon): Summons a tiger to her side. She hopes to summon the legendary white tiger (and lord of summoned tigers) Byakko someday.
---Beni Inju attack (Crimson ribbons): With claws in hand she strikes several times in quick succession. The name refers to the state of the victim's skin after the attack. Fortunately, she only uses it when she feels backed into a corner.
---Hi hi attack (play on words, ‘hi’ can mean fire or ice): She uses fire to heat her opponent, followed by very cold water to shock her opponent’s body. This could also refer to the attack where she deals a double dose of only fire or water.

[X] What else? Koneko spends her time assisting, studying, and developing practical applications at the Hinote alchemy shop if she's not out on missions or making house-calls for consulting. She has a love of reading and so spends much of her spare time with books or writing. Even though Hinote Yaibahana is the same rank as her, she still refers to him as "Sensei" since he still knows a lot more then her.

Author's Comments

Just posting it here. It's the example from my Naruto contest 2 journal.

Comments:
:bulletblue: The word Kagaku just worked out really well for me. I like science, especially chemistry (my other major). I appreciate good literature (poetry part). The “hereditary learning” is ironic since Koneko is the first ninja in her family and so has no hereditary ninja abilties.
:bulletblue: I have graduated from high school and have a two-year college degree, hence jounin level.
:bulletblue: I only like sparring in real life when the other person plays nice, going a little easy but still hard enough to challenge me. I do focus on technique in my martial arts and correct technique does have the advantages mentioned. My defense is better than my offense in sparring. I do cry when I get hit in the head.
:bulletblue: I don’t actually use a bow and arrow but I like playing Legend of Zelda and I really like using the bow as a sniper when the monsters are difficult, otherwise I go all out hoping to kill the monster before it can attack me back. Fire and water are the best way for me to covey my personality in element form, hot water or the ocean (changing reliably) would be the most accurate.
